Goals

Awareness of Central Kentucky within industry circles will continue to evolve with the support of targeted advertising and public relations efforts.

LASA goals will focus on the following:

• Establish a strong organizational and community structure, including the creation of the Sports and Advisory Committees.
• Develop an impressive, well-balanced event portfolio.
• Establish a bids and grants fund to be used in the pursuit of amateur athletic events, as well as to assist in the development of new or enhancement of existing events.
• Capture the interest and support of the Central Kentucky area by promoting the state as a destination for competitive sports and events.
• Conduct necessary research (facilities, competitors, sports communities and contacts, past events held in area, potential events, lost events, etc.)
• Identify preliminary target sports markets and corresponding direct marketing strategies for reaching those markets through development of a formal marketing plan
• Develop and implement a long-term funding plan.
• Ignite regional and national awareness of LASA and the Central Kentucky area as a new, yet experienced sports destination.
